“Patterns of Happiness” art exhibition opened at VAST

24 September 2017: An art exhibition titled “Patterns of Happiness” was formally opened at VAST’s Bhutan Art Gallery at Le Meridien Hotel and VAST Bhutan Contemporary Art Center, Chubachu in Thimphu on 24 September 2017.

The exhibition is part of Annual National Design and Art Competition (NDAC) organized by Royal Textile Academy (RTA). The modern art category is being organized by Voluntary Artists’ Studio of Thimphu (VAST) in collaboration with RTA.

According to the RTA and the VAST, it is an exemplary long term collaboration between civil society organizations to draw on each other’s strengths. Through such collaborative initiatives, RTA and VAST hope to support each other in the long run to offer greater platforms for young creative minds.

It was attended by participating artists, supporters and well wishers of VAST.

The exhibition saw a total of 71 entries. A panel of judges appointed by VAST will judge the entries for NDAC.

The exhibition at both the venues will be opened till 15 October 2017.
