RTA marked Zero Waste Hour

Following National Environment Commission’s (NEC) launch of Zero Waste Hour initiative, the staff of the Royal Textile Academy initiated an hour long cleaning and advocacy campaign on the 2nd August 2019 along Norzin Lam, Yarden Lam, Chubachu stream and campus of the RTA.

Prior to the cleaning campaign, the Head of Administration Mr. Ugyen Tenzin of RTA advocated the importance of Zero Waste Hour to the staff. He said that starting from today, RTA would mark every 2nd day of the month as a Zero Waste Hour investing an hour to advocate and clean garbage in our neighbourhood streets such as Norzin Lam.

During the campaign, the staff of the RTA collected 7 bags of bargabe along Chubachu Norzin Lam, Yarden Lam, Chubachu stream, and RTA campus.
