Czech Castle Exhibition

The inauguration of the exhibition titled, “Czech Castles” from the Republic of Czech was observed today at the premises of the Royal Textile Academy. Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, the Royal Patron of RTA, graced the opening along with H.E. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Mr. Tomas Dub, H.E. Ambassador to the Czech Republic and other senior delegates of Czech. H.E. Prime Minister of Bhutan Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay accompanied by Ministers of the Cabinet of Bhutan also graced the occasion.

“Czech Castle” exhibition is the first travelling exhibit to be hosted in Bhutan. Amongst the 31 Castles and Chateaux of Czech Republic that are on display, most of them are registered with UNESCO as world heritage sites.  The exhibition will be on public view until the 23rd of March 2014 at the RTA Weaving and Conservation Center.
