Exhibition- ‘Bhutan – Land Close to Heaven’ in Prague

Her Majesty the Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, is in Czech Republic at the invitation of the Government of the Czech Republic. During the visit, Her Majesty inaugurated the exhibition titled “Bhutan – Land Close to Heaven” in Prague, the capital city.

The exhibition showcases the rich cultural and tradition textiles, handicrafts and jewellery of Bhutan, and it is the first of its kind in the Czech Republic and in central Europe.

According to a press release, the exhibition will further strengthen the friendship and cultural exchanges between the two countries, and will contribute towards promoting Bhutan as a tourist destination in the Czech Republic.

The exhibition, organized by the Royal Textile Academy in partnership with the Czech National Museum, will be opened till June 2015.
