Training on Natural Dyeing Ends

A training on Natural Dyes, using both traditional and contemporary methods, was conducted at the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan. The training was conducted for the weavers at the RTA as well as for the relevant staff members. Conducted by Ms. Karma Choden, the five days training covered introduction of dye materials and different mordants, processes such as scouring, preparation of yarns and pre-mordanting, followed by intensive hands on experience.

The closing on August 9, 2019 was graced by the Executive Director of the RTA. Aum congratulated the participants and also handed them certificates of participation and a sample book each.
